Marwood Stout, D.D.S.
Director, Anacapa Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center
Marwood Stout was born and raised in Southern California. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University, where he attended as a President’s Scholar and graduated magna cum laude. He then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry as a Regent’s Scholar, where he obtained a D.D.S. degree and graduated cum laude. He is a member of the national honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After dental school, he completed an additional four years of residency training at the UCLA Medical Center to specialize in oral surgery and dental implant surgery. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Meet Our Staff Team We are proud to be a part of the Anacapa Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center. All of us are here to make your visit and treatment a comfortable experience. We have from 4 to 16 years of experience in oral surgery.
Doctor Stout established his private practice limited to oral surgery and dental implant surgery in north Oxnard in 1992. As director of the Anacapa Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, he sponsors the Anacapa Study Club for dentists and keeps involved with the UCLA Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program, where he occasionally lectures for the staff and resident doctors.
Doctor Stout is a perfectionist, but not one who has forgotten how to care for people in a very personal manner. He always has a warm smile and an attentive, listening ear. Your appointment never concludes until he has addressed your every concern. If you undertake any treatment, you should expect him to call you the evening of your surgery to make sure you’re recuperating well. Doctor Stout doesn’t consider your care a success unless you have a great result and are completely satisfied with every aspect of your care.
Although the health care environment has become rather bureaucratic and impersonal, you will find Dr. Stout to be courteous and compassionate – two traits that have become increasingly rare. 
Doctor Stout is married with four children. He is active in his dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery professional organizations and in his local church. He enjoys coaching youth basketball, skiing, and go-kart racing, and just about any other sport. Having spent two years as a missionary in Taiwan, he’s always looking to strike up a conversation to keep his Mandarin Chinese sharp. Although totally committed to the dental profession, Dr. Stout has an ironic weakness for such tooth hazards as dark chocolate and donuts.
